  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir until just mixed.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread half of the batter in the prepared dish, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture, top with remaining batter, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cake to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese icing.
