Ingredients
  

Mousse Base
  • 2 medium ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar substitute such as stevia or erythritol
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or any unsweetened plant milk
Toppings
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free whipped cream optional, for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Mousse
  1. In a blender, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, sugar substitute, vanilla extract, and almond milk.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Transfer the mousse to a mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve
  1. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes.
  2. Top with chopped nuts and sugar-free whipped cream if desired.
