Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks Crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
For the Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping
For the Strawberry Topping
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Sliced
  • 1 pkg strawberry gelatin
  • 1/2 cup water

Method
 

Prepare the Crust
  1. Crush pretzels until fine and mix with melted butter and sugar. Press into a greased 9x13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until golden brown.
Make the Cream Layer
  1. In a large bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in whipped topping gently.
Spread the Cream Layer
  1. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
Prepare the Strawberry Layer
  1. In a saucepan, combine fresh strawberries, sugar, and water over medium heat. Stir until bubbly and thickened, then let it cool slightly before pouring over the cream layer.
Chill the Salad
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
