Preparation
- Start by gathering your favorite cut of steak and fresh potatoes. Chop the potatoes into bite-sized pieces for even cooking and season with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
- Tear off large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, about 12x18 inches each.
- Place a portion of the seasoned potatoes in the center of each foil sheet, followed by a steak piece on top. Feel free to add sliced onions or bell peppers for extra flavor!
- Fold the edges of the foil over the steak and potatoes to seal them securely. Make sure there’s enough space inside for steam to circulate while cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F) or your oven to 425°F. Cook the foil packets for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the steak reaches your desired doneness.
- Carefully open one packet (watch out for steam!) and check if the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked through. If needed, return to heat for a few more minutes.
