For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce low-sodium can be used for a healthier option
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced or pressed
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil toasted sesame oil gives an extra flavor boost
  • 1 tablespoon Honey maple syrup is a great alternative
For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets Salmon Fillets fresh, wild-caught preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds lightly toasted
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish by lightly greasing it with olive oil or lining it with parchment paper.
Marinating
  1. Mix the marinade in a small bowl by combining soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and honey. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Marinate the salmon fillets in the prepared mixture for at least 15 minutes.
Baking
  1. Place the marinated salmon skin-side down in the baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Garnishing
  1. Garnish your finished dish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
