Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 large Russet Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
Cream Sauce
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Butter for greasing the dish
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese plus extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or knife.
Make the Cream Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until well mixed.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish.
  2. Pour half of the cream sauce over the potatoes.
  3. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce, finishing with extra cheese on top.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
