Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Liquid
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and cut them into sections if needed to fit in the Instant Pot.
Season the Ribs
  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the ribs.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Add water to the Instant Pot and place the ribs on the trivet inside. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
Release Pressure
  1. Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
Serve
  1. Carefully remove the ribs from the Instant Pot. Brush with barbecue sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the ribs with the seasoning overnight before cooking.
