Ingredients
  

For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon skin-on or skinless
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
For the Crust
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup pure
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme dried

Method
 

Prepare the Salmon
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
Make the Crust
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped walnuts, panko breadcrumbs, maple syrup, olive oil, dijon mustard, garlic powder, and thyme.
  2. Mix until well combined and the mixture is sticky.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread the walnut mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or rice.

Notes
