Ingredients

For the Rice Bowl
  • 1 pound Steak (ribeye or sirloin) Tender cuts work best.
  • 1 cup Cooked rice (white or brown) Hearty base for flavors.
  • 2 stalks Green onions Chopped for garnish.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds Toasted for extra crunch.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Kimchi Fermented side with spicy tang.
  • 1 cup Sliced cucumbers Refreshing and crisp.
  • 1 cup Radish sprouts or microgreens Adds color and earthiness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips for tenderness.
  2. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and brown sugar in a bowl. Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Rinse 1 cup of jasmine rice under cold water. Cook in a pot with 1¾ cups of water over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the marinated steak for about 3-4 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Slice cucumbers, carrots, and radishes into thin matchsticks for fresh crunch.
  6. Layer rice in a bowl, top with seared steak and colorful veggies.
  7. Garnish with spicy gochujang or sriracha, sesame seeds, and sliced green onions.
