Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
For the Jalapeño Sauce
  • 2 pcs Fresh jalapeños (diced) Adjust quantity based on heat preference
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
For Toppings
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar works best
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup Sliced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Pickles

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ground beef, fresh jalapeños, and favorite burger toppings. Chop the jalapeños finely.
  2. Shape the ground beef into loose balls, about 4 ounces each.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat until it’s around 400°F.
Cooking
  1. Place the beef balls on the hot grill and press down firmly with a spatula until they're about ½ inch thick. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  2. Sprinkle chopped jalapeños onto each patty while they cook.
  3. Carefully flip each patty and top with cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Toast your burger buns cut-side down on the grill for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  5. Layer your toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the smashed patties topped with melted cheese.
