- Start by forming your ground beef into loose balls, about 4 ounces each.
- Preheat your grill or griddle to medium-high heat, around 400°F.
- Place the beef balls on the hot surface and firmly press down with a spatula until they’re about ½ inch thick. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and crispy.
- Once flipped, immediately top each burger with a slice of cream cheese and a few sliced jalapeños. Let it melt for another minute.
- Lightly butter your burger buns and toast them on the grill until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
- Layer each toasted bun with a smash burger patty, fresh lettuce, and any additional toppings you desire.
