How to Make Hot Bacon Dressing
- Fry 6 slices of bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Let cool slightly, then crumble into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, use the rendered bacon fat and sauté 1 small diced onion on medium heat until translucent and fragrant, roughly 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in ½ cup of apple cider vinegar and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of brown sugar into the skillet. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Toss the crumbled bacon back into the skillet with the onion mixture. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper to your liking. Serve warm over fresh spinach or mixed greens.
