Rice
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice rinsed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Flavorings
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Rice
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.
  3. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
Preparing the Garlic Butter
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine, ensuring the rice is well coated with the garlic butter.
  3. Stir in the chopped parsley and serve warm.
