Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons sugar for sweetness
  • 1 packet active dry yeast or 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1 teaspoon salt for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
Filling
  • 4 marshmallows large marshmallows symbolizing the empty tomb

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.
  3. Flatten each piece and place a marshmallow in the center. Pinch the dough around the marshmallow to seal it.
  4. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet. Let them rise for another 10 minutes.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
