Ingredients

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz Pasta of choice like penne or fusilli
  • 1 tsp Salt for cooking pasta
For the Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground beef lean
  • 1 medium Onion chopped finely
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes 15 oz
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
For Garnish
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add your favorite pasta. Cook until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Preparing the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and crumbly, stirring occasionally.
Adding Aromatics
  1. Toss in chopped onions and minced garlic into the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
Stirring in the Sauce
  1. Pour in your choice of marinara or cream sauce, mixing well to combine with the beef. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
  1. Gently fold the cooked pasta into the creamy ground beef mixture. Stir until every piece is coated in that delicious sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Serving and Garnishing
  1. Plate your creamy ground beef pasta, topping with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of parsley for a lovely pop of color.
