Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cotton candy flavored, torn into small pieces
Optional Toppings
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles for garnish
  • 1/2 cup additional cotton candy for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Fold in the torn pieces of cotton candy until well combined.
Chill and Churn
  1. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
  2. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Serve
  1. Scoop the cotton candy ice cream into bowls and top with sprinkles and additional cotton candy if desired.

Notes
