Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans canned peaches in syrup, drained
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, milk, melted butter, baking powder, sugar, and salt until just combined.
  2. Pour the topping mixture over the peach filling, spreading it evenly.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
