Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, diced
  • 2 ripe avocados, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruits and herbs thoroughly. Peel and pit the mangoes and avocados, then chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Finely dice the red onion and chop the cilantro leaves.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine diced mangoes, avocados, red onion, and cilantro.
  4. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture; add salt to taste and mix gently to avoid mashing the avocados.
  5. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled fish or chicken.
