Ingredients

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 46 black tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh pitted cherries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and steep the tea bags in the boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
  3. While steeping, pit and halve the cherries (muddle them slightly for more juice).
  4. After removing the tea bags, stir in sugar until dissolved, then add the cherries.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least one hour.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with additional cherry halves or mint leaves if desired.
