Description

Marinated Skirt Steak is a tantalizing dish that delivers rich flavors and juicy tenderness, perfect for any gathering or weeknight dinner. This easy recipe allows you to quickly prepare a mouthwatering steak that can be grilled or cooked on the stovetop. With a simple marinade of garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil, this flavorful cut of meat will impress your family and friends. Serve it with fresh salads or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal that promises satisfaction in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb skirt steak
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the skirt steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the steak is fully coated. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F) or heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess drip off. Grill or sear for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness.
  5. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
  6. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
