- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth (for sauce)
- 1 cup sour cream (for sauce)
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour (for sauce)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, eggs, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into one-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides for about five minutes per side.
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, whisk together flour and beef broth until smooth; bring to a simmer.
- Stir in sour cream until well combined. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer on low for ten minutes until heated through.
- Serve with extra sauce over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
