  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Brew coffee and let it cool. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
  2. In a bowl, mix mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Dip ladyfingers briefly in the coffee mixture and layer half in a serving dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers and top with half of the berries.
  5. Repeat layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and berries.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
