Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (15.25 oz) Red Velvet Cake Mix
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Cream Cheese Frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz Chocolate Candy Coating (red or white)
- 12 Lollipop Sticks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for ten minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine pieces in a bowl. Mix in cream cheese frosting until dough-like consistency is achieved.
- Roll small portions of the mixture into balls about one inch in diameter and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Melt the chocolate candy coating according to package instructions. Dip each lollipop stick into the coating before inserting it into each cake ball. Then dip each ball into the coating until fully covered and let excess chocolate drip off before placing back on parchment paper to set.
