One-Pot Garlic Butter Sausage and Orzo Delight is a comforting, flavorful dish that combines succulent Italian sausage, tender orzo pasta, and aromatic garlic butter—all cooked effortlessly in one pot. This quick and satisfying meal is perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings, guaranteed to impress with its rich taste and creamy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the Italian sausage on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add orzo pasta, toasting it in the butter for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, return sausages to the pot, and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 10-12 minutes until orzo is al dente.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust seasonings as desired.
  6. Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.
