  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large fresh oranges (zest and juice)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a tart pan with a removable bottom.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Press mixture into the base and sides of the tart pan; prick with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Zest two oranges into one bowl; squeeze juice into another bowl without seeds.
  5. In the bowl with orange juice, whisk in eggs and sugar; add heavy cream and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour filling into cooled crust; bake for 30-35 minutes until set but slightly wobbly in the center.
  7. Cool before refrigerating for at least two hours. Serve chilled with extra orange zest on top.
