Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture.
  3. Combine ingredients: Add olive oil, minced garlic, and parmesan cheese to the well. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Rise: Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  6. Shape & bake: Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Let rise again for 30 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
