Description

Apple Cinnamon Rolls are the ultimate Fall Dessert, combining warm, gooey rolls with a luscious apple filling and a rich cream cheese glaze. These delightful treats are perfect for cozy gatherings or a lazy Sunday morning. The aroma of cinnamon and apples will fill your kitchen, making it an irresistible indulgence for friends and family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups tart apples (like Granny Smith), peeled and chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Gradually add melted butter and flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. While dough rises, mix chopped apples with brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  4. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle (½ inch thick), spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle the apple mixture evenly.
  5. Roll tightly from one end to form a log, slice into equal pieces (about 12), and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. For the glaze, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
