Description

Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders are the ultimate comfort food, featuring tender strips of chicken marinated in buttermilk for extra flavor and moisture. Coated in a seasoned flour mixture that creates a delightful golden-brown crust, these tenders are perfect for any occasion—be it game day, family dinners, or a quick snack. Serve them alongside your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ for a meal everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying (enough to cover the bottom of the skillet)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into strips and marinate in buttermilk mixed with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour.
  2. Prepare a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with garlic powder and paprika, one with beaten eggs, and one empty for finished tenders.
  3. Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Coat each strip in the flour mixture, dip in eggs, then coat again in flour.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F). Fry chicken strips in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F).
  5. Transfer cooked tenders to paper towels to drain excess oil before serving.
