Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients; stir until just mixed.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- Assemble by placing one layer on a serving plate, drizzling with half the caramel sauce and sprinkling half the pecans on top. Add the second layer and repeat with remaining caramel and pecans.
