Description

Baklava cheesecake is an exquisite dessert that seamlessly blends the creamy richness of traditional cheesecake with the sweet, nutty flavors of baklava. Each slice features flaky phyllo layers topped with a mix of chopped nuts, honey, and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • ½ cup melted butter (for brushing)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush a springform pan with melted butter and layer half the phyllo sheets at the bottom, brushing each with more butter.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped nuts with sugar and cinnamon, then spread half of this mixture over the phyllo.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and honey, mixing well before incorporating eggs one at a time.
  4. Pour half the cheesecake mixture over the nut layer. Top with remaining nuts, then pour the rest of the cheesecake batter on top.
  5. Layer remaining phyllo sheets on top, brushing each with butter. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Allow to cool completely before serving. Drizzle with extra honey and garnish as desired.
