Perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings, this recipe combines the flavors of soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic for a mouthwatering meal that can be served over rice or noodles. In just 30 minutes, you’ll have a satisfying dinner that will leave everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 34 breasts)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, and rice vinegar. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté marinated chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Remove the chicken from the pan while keeping it warm. Pour leftover marinade into the skillet and simmer until thickened (3-5 minutes).
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  6. Serve over steamed rice or noodles with extra sauce.
