Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or knife.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and half of the shredded cheese.
- Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish, pour half of the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle half the remaining cheese on top. Repeat these layers.
- Top with panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter for crunch.
- Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove foil during the last 10 minutes to brown the topping.
