Description

Chocolate Cake Cheesecake Truffles are a delightful fusion of rich chocolate cake and creamy cheesecake, all rolled into bite-sized indulgences. These decadent treats are perfect for celebrations or as a sweet afternoon pick-me-up. With minimal ingredients and straightforward preparation, you’ll impress your guests or satisfy your own cravings with these heavenly morsels.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Mix cake mix, eggs, and water according to package instructions; bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
  4. Combine half of the crumbled cake with the cheesecake mixture until evenly mixed; the texture should be thick yet moldable.
  5. Roll small portions into bite-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Chill for at least an hour. Melt chocolate chips until smooth; dip each truffle in melted chocolate until fully coated and return to parchment paper to set.
