Instructions

- Toss sliced pears with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a bowl. Spread evenly in the prepared dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, remaining sugars, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly and stir in milk until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the pears; it doesn’t need to cover them completely.
