Easy Chicken Alfredo Recipe

Want to prepare an easy chicken recipe that is likewise made from readily available ingredients? This recipe ought to fill the bill. Very few cookbooks I have found have recipes for Alfredo Sauce. On the internet you may find rather a few but a lot of call for a long list of ingredients that I feel are not in truth necessary for a good Alfredo sauce.

The roots of Alfredo sauce go back to 1914. The dish now known as “Fettuccine Alfredo” was primary called Fettuccine al triplo burro, which translates to Fettuccine with triple butter. The name Alfredo refers to Alfredo Di Lelio, a Roman innkeeper. It seems that his wife had lost her appetite for the duration of her pregnancy. He went to his kitchen and made a dish with egg noodles, Parmigiano cheese, cream and butter. It was said that his pregnant wife was delighted with the dish and gained back her appetite.

Although numerous versions have been made since, the version here is made with olive oil in place of the butter and milk rather than cream. Flour is added to facilitate the browning of the chicken pieces. The roux made from this flour and olive oil, and the effect of the melted Parmesan cheese accomplishes the thickening.

The noodles applied were wide egg noodles available at any supermarket
